Lab Automation in Biomedical Research:
Lab automation is revolutionizing the way scientific research is conducted by introducing systems and technologies that automate routine laboratory processes. By integrating robotics, software, sensors, and data analytics, lab automation enhances the efficiency, precision, and scalability of experimental workflows in biomedical research. Automated platforms are widely used for tasks such as liquid handling, sample preparation, assay execution, and data collection, enabling high-throughput experimentation with minimal human intervention. This not only reduces variability and human error but also accelerates discovery and increases reproducibility—critical factors in areas such as drug screening, genomics, diagnostics, and synthetic biology. Our group is very much interested in the automated system for the microfluidic chip integrated production platform of artificial exosomes. As laboratories become increasingly data-driven, lab automation serves as a foundation for smart, interconnected systems that can adapt and optimize processes in real time. The combination of automation with emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and microfluidics is paving the way for next-generation biomedical research and personalized healthcare solutions.
